I purchased this because it is the perfect size for where I was placing it.

Terrible

I don't usually write reviews but here we are. The package came damaged and on top of that the paint started peeling when trying to assemble. I've put together countless furniture pieces from various places, but this one was impossible.

This is pure junk

I was hoping for the price range, and after reading others ridiculous comments this would have been better. Assembly is not as easy as they make out, in fact because it does not have bolts, but rather slots for built in pieces, it makes assembly much harder. The slots are not big enough, and bend the built in pieces, to adjust requires the strength of hercules since once the parts are secure, they literally can't move. The boards that come with it are literally cardboard lol, I got mold less than a week after constructing. My wife was highly disappointed and now she does not trust me to be able to pick out good furniture.

Good quality, very well made, assembles easily and wood is a nice thickness too.

I needed a utility shelf to hold some small tools. I found this one, perfect size for the hall I need to have it and loved the price too. I was not dissappointed, this one worked out great. First off, it goes together without any screws and the whole assembly took me about 15 minutes to do with no issues. The only thing that I did use, additionally that was not included in the box, was that I used a rubber hammer to tap the shelves down into their grooves. Once it was assembled, it was very easy to move around, and really a strong well put together structure too. No cons, worked out great for me, where I am very happy with the purchase.

Sturdy & great space saver

This whole shelving unit weighs less then 25 lbs...but is super strong and sturdy! It has 5 shelves and each shelf holds up to 380 lbs with a max capacity of 1100 lbs...which is awesome! The frame is made of metal so I don't have to worry about it collapsing. Assembly was quick... it took me less than an hour and I didn't need any special tools although using a rubber mallet is helpful. The size of this shelves suit my needs well. I also love that it holds a lot but doesn't take up a lot of space. The shelf is 12"x 20" x 60" tall. You can adjusts the height of the shelves and you can build the shelf horizontal or vertical. I'm using this in my storage room and I'm quite pleased with it. Overall I don't have any complaints about this shelf. It was easy to assemble, price is reasonable for the quality of product & it's very sturdy & looks nice! Great shelving unit!

the plywood is very thin

Notches don't fit

I have purchased several of these shelving units and this is the first one that I have had difficulty getting together. Some of the notches were not big enough. Some of the circles that go into the notches were not offset enough to slide down. Very disappointed with the ease of assembly.

Storage Shelves

My prior screw and bolt storage shelves finally rusted through and had to be replaced. I needed a 12 inch wide shelf and elected to purchase these shelves. The chip/masonite board were a little to flimsy but will she how they hold up over the next year. Shelves were easy to put together but for the middle joint which did not appear to match the instruction sheet??? Wish I could have found a slightly taller unit in the 12 inch wide selections available.

Just like advertised

Shelf unit is like advertised. The only two cons I have is the while building the inner metal is very sharp so I would advise in using gloves. The other is the shelves are pressed cardboard which are sturdy but depending what you put on it might not be good. I bought it for plants and the water messes it up. I will be replacing the shelves on my own. But it a good size shelf.

Had to tape toshelf plastic bushings on. The corner riser was uneven

Made in China; I Should Know Better!

I was suspicious because the box was so light. Spouse commented that I had said it was metal and it sure was light. It should have been easy to assemble with just the rubber mallet but the metal is closer to tin than any type of substantial material. Parts didn't want to line up and if you hit hard enough with a mallet; it bent the metal and we had to straighten it and then try again. Finally we did get it together but shelves would not hold up in a laundry room or bathroom with any type of moisture. Spouse went to hardware store and bought some heavy duty screws to reinforce the shelves. I didn't send it back because it was going into a pantry where no one would see it and the measurements did fit the space which is hard to find.

I used these in my preteen's room and they are perfect! Much cheaper than a new book shelf and makes him feel like he has a grown up room - win, win

Not bad, but not worth cost

The shelf is OK. It's pretty flimsy though. I have a hard believing that it would safely support 300+ pounds on each shelf.
